It's so sweet and naive
I read up the last dozens of entries, but I cringe harder and harder going down the rabbit hole.

The beauty of the information preserving is that unlike the memory, digital info is not as merciful and remembers e v e r y t h i n g
Highs, lows, but mostly lows because that's what being an angsty young adult is
I'm still angsty, but probably less naive (lol), and less open to what I am angsty about.

Hey there guys
I guess I forgot how to word personal things in Russian (no kidding, I am not trying to be obnoxious or something I just can't)
So here how it is:
it's Friday and I am alone
and tomorrow we're gonna have a trip to the great unknown with the people from work
I am so happy I decided to take this job among all others; even though I feel like an ass sometimes, knowing what buttons to push to get the things I want, but it is mine, and it all will be mine for some very prolonged time because we are people of commitments
I kind of missed the fact that I haven't even told you how it went down after I decided to leave the Enterprise
Short version: it went down badly but I am great now
Long version: I took a job and the relationships with a boss that is an ass weren't good, and then I got terrible headaches, and then I got herpes that affected pretty badly my sight (I recovered completely) so on my 26th birthday I accepted job offer calls while we walked 5+ km from our favourite steak house to our favourite bar.
And then I spent 10 days in the Baltic sea, and the only thing that saved me is my capacity to sleep, so while everyone else gave everything they put inside themselves to the sea, I was sleeping. I was so cheerful when everything has ended; they almost attempted to drown me.

I didn't have a vacation per-se this year, but I was sick for two weeks (no kidding, first time ever and there are scars even now (yes I am mildly proud about it)), and took a part in a 10 days adventure in a sea.
Do you know what I want you to tell? When given a choice, never, ever, go to the Baltic see on a yacht in a summer time. I am pretty positive that we're gonna repeat it pretty soon.

Now, I've got my own apartment in which I cannot live yet because no basic stuff is there. I'm gonna try to do it next week, when I have a bed (I hope), but it is about to come back to being a place I can visit when I want to wrap my anxiety in a craft paper and set it on fire. I am a big boss now; I have enough of the stuff.

To sum up this year, one word is enough: anxiety.
Not all bad, not all good, but it is.
I visited tons of places I've never even dreamt to visit, I survived relatively safely a sea storm, I've found a cool job (getting twice more money after 3 month of work comparing to the amount I received on the Enterprise) and secured for a while a good place, I own a home, and slowly becoming an adult while being absolutely terrified about it.

In a week we're gonna visit my beloved Italy, and honestly - I have no freaking idea what to do about it.

hi, almost-winter, almost-monochrome
it's cold and
being all perfectly logical I spend time on a sea shore, watching grey waves with white foam
being all incredibly brave I'm climbing an abandoned truss
there is almost no railing and couple meters where the only support is a thin rusted steel wire
there is cold water under my feet
I'm not even sure what is worse anymore: fall into late-fall sea or fall on a concrete
cold makes me stiff and too cautious, and scared as well.
beginning of October me is recless enough to try to climb down a cliff with almost zero chance to succeed
end of October me carefully decend from a concrete block too scared to jump 1,5 meter down.

I can't relax
always focused and under some sort of pressure I can't identifiy. there is possibily of wearing out
I look forward to every chance to run away from the city but it doesn't help
i haven't slept longer than 7 hours for two months now, and developed a habit of sleeping 30-40 mins at work because it is impossible to function without it
i haven't been truly alone for two months now but in a good way

there's a great deal of things that have been happening to me and there's no one who'd care to learn it in full and, frankly, I don't care to explain
there're new horizonts and music, old fears and habits, a lot of alcohol, crazy amount of sex, dare, water and high places
there will be a new me before the new year and I can't wait to get to know her.

Last weekend and this weekend are different
First - I have my bicycle now. We reunited on Thursday, had hard times fixing it but then, hallelujah, on Friday I took it for the first, in how long, 6 years?, ride.
Second - I got my priorities sorted
You know, when it all started, I felt so inspired and changed by the new in my life I forgot to do the reality check
This is the thing you do only when you get disappointed
And I got disappointed
And then I had to get away, I knew I have to put some physical distance between where I stand and where I can sort out things in my head out
So this glorious idea came and that evening I booked a ride and couple hours later was on my way to the border, watching all the stars from my window.
And then there was this shining and bring morning, just the way I like, I was sitting on a bench far away from the crowd (as if there could be a crowd at 8 in the morning), talking to myself, talking to D. (usually it helps), trying to figure out this puzzle I created myself

I did it, I figured the thing out
(at least I hope so)
I spent a day, staring into the water in Helsinki, thinking about how it works and how to deal with it and realized that the root of all problems lies into the fact that I refuse to recognize the reality and try to bend it into my own way of its perception
this is not the way things are: there are facts and there are ways to act on the basis of these facts
if you act basing on your own imagining reality it won't transform the facts in the way you want
the law of identity stays
and you can't get an A be non-A in the real world
and, if you are honest to yourself, you also can't have it in your head

so, I changed again, and it makes things easier
this spring is full of discoveries and I'm eager to know where this road will lead me.

В последнее время я очень часто жалею, что не курю и не могу - в жизни столько ситуаций, когда хочется остановиться, потратить пять минут на сигарету и побежать дальше, что бы там, в этом дальше, ни ждало бы.
У меня все хорошо.
В голове моей флешбэками пролетают невероятные образы, в которые я до сих пор не особенно могу поверить (например, душа моя, в рубашке с закатанными рукавами, сосредоточенно занятая приготовлением невероятных стейков).
Сезонные приступы паранойи и перемен настроения все еще мои большие друзья, но сегодня мне стабильнее: вчера я серьезно пообещала больше не волноваться и я намерена следовать этому обещанию, насколько это возможно.
Поэтому, например, сегодня я почистила клавиатуру: невероятно увлекательное занятие, на которое можно затратить бесконечное количество времени, потому что клавиатура у меня старая, и запасы еды и шерсти в ней уже давно стали стратегическими. Рассталась с этими запасами безо всяких сожалений. В порыве сломала, правда, клавишу num lock, что несколько подпортило идеалистическую картину.

В последнюю неделю особенно я немного одержима идеей о reclaiming myself. При этом, правда, совершенно не ясно, от чего, но идея прочно уселась в голове, когда я неожиданно осознала, что произошло вместе со смещением фокуса внимания и возникновением новых аспектов моей удивительной жизни - я уже больше месяца не готовлю, толком не убираюсь, стираю только в случае острой необходимости, ну и так далее, умудряясь при этом сохранять человеческий (и даже сверхчеловеческий, если верить коллегам) вид.
Вчера вдруг выдохнула - неожиданно поняла корень проблемы, неожиданно поняла, что с этим делать, и вдруг стало легко-легко (еще помогла утренняя встреча в переходе, из-за которой я заставила людей ждать (неслыхано, на самом деле), где не было никого, кроме нас, да еще одного японца, пробегавшего мимо, которого я быстро спровадила). Уже сегодня я полна решимости готовить, убираться, причинять пользу и наносить добро, что, наверное, стоит считать признаком полной адаптации новой реальности к нормальному состоянию.
И это не значит, что я вернулась в нулевую точку: удивительное распирает меня каждую секунду.

На работе - много работы. Я блаженствую: пришла и заявила начальнику, что хочу делать конкретную работу, которую пытались сбыть. Заявление повлекло за собой шок, удивление, одобрение (спасибо, Б.!), много вопросов в духе "как же так?!", на что я только пожимаю плечами. Да, много всего, да, нужно требовать и выбивать. Но я, наконец-то, получаю возможность внести свой вклад в изделие, настоящий, физический вклад, который будет жить на станции вместе с этим самым изделием. Это меня вдохновляет. На третий год я могу позволить себе это делать. Про то, что я, наконец, получила свой билет из вынужденного безделия я и вовсе молчу.

Продолжаю читать Atlas Shrugged, продолжаю делать это с открытым от восторга ртом, в любом состоянии в свободную минуту цепляясь за возможность прочитать ну еще немного, ну еще чуть-чуть. Монологи д'Анкония читаю вслух себе, по несколько раз, чтобы полностью осознать, один из них и вовсе - выписала, чтобы проникнуться каждым словом. Единственное мое сожаление - это то, что я не знала об этой книге всю свою жизнь до этого, и в тот момент, когда эти слова мне были особо сильно нужны, я бы, скорее всего, ее бы просто не поняла.
